London-born designer James Irvine (1958-2013) graduated from the Royal College of Art in the early nineteen eighties. He then moved to Milan where he worked for Olivetti under Ettore Sottsass. After a short stay in Japan he set up his own design studio in Milan. His oeuvre is truly multifaceted. In addition to brackets and seating furniture, he for example also designed buses.
