Can you saw acoustic panels?

Sawing with electrical tools is not recommended, as the product may melt. Use manual cutting instead.

What are acoustic panels made of?

Chameleon acoustic panels are made from PET felt, largely recycled from PET bottles. PET felt offers good acoustic values and a high-quality appearance.

Why acoustic panels?

Reasons include:

  • Improving acoustics: By reducing reverberation and reflection.
  • Aesthetics: Available in colors, shapes, and textures, panels can enhance decor or serve as art pieces.
Where to place acoustic panels?

Options include:

  • Wall covering (acoustic PET felt)
  • Wall-mounted art panels
  • Ceiling panels above desks
  • Divider panels between workstations
  • Cabinet doors or back panels
How many acoustic panels to place?

It depends on room size, acoustic goals, furnishings, and panel properties. Rough rule: one-quarter of floor area as panel surface area. Consult acoustic specs and experts for tailored advice.

How to install Chameleon acoustic panels?

Two main methods:

  • Magnetic mounting (reusable)
  • Gluing (permanent for wall-filling surfaces)
How to shorten acoustic panels?

9 mm and 18 mm PET felt panels can be cut with a utility knife along a steel ruler, in multiple strokes.

25 mm panels are pre-cut and must be shortened by us at production.

How do I hang a whiteboard?

Mounting a Chameleon whiteboard is straightforward using our easy installation system. Attach the provided magnetic plates with plugs to the wall—precise measurements are unnecessary as the frameless board magnetically clips onto the plates.

For larger boards, a glass lifter is recommended during installation.

Is a whiteboard magnetic?

Yes, Chameleon whiteboards are magnetically receptive. A steel layer embedded in the surface allows magnets to adhere securely.

This feature is also present in our chalkboards, which are built similarly but with a different surface finish.

Whiteboard or glassboard: which is better?

Both have unique advantages. Whiteboards excel in readability (no transparent glass layer, no shadows), making them ideal for education and intensive professional use.

Glassboards stand out for aesthetics, available in 18 colors, and are excellent for design-focused spaces.

How big can a whiteboard be?

The largest single-panel whiteboard available is 118×298 cm. For larger surfaces, our Sharp Wall solution combines panels with minimal seams for a virtually seamless wall-sized whiteboard.

Can I use a Chameleon whiteboard as a school board?

Yes. Popular setups include whiteboard strips spanning the wall, and low gloss whiteboards used as dual-purpose projection boards.

Our magnetic whiteboards are durable and versatile for classrooms. Chalkboards are also available for traditional teaching.

Can I order a custom whiteboard?

Absolutely! We specialize in custom solutions—frameless boards in non-standard sizes, wall-to-wall installs, or designs featuring your logo or acoustic felt.

What is a frameless whiteboard?

A frameless whiteboard has no surrounding frame, giving it a sleek, modern look. Chameleon whiteboards are CNC-cut and hand-finished for precision, allowing minimal seams when installed side-by-side.

What is the quality of a chalkboard?

Chameleon chalkboards share the same enameled steel construction as our whiteboards. The chalk surface is smooth, matte, and guaranteed perfectly erasable for life.

Available in deep gray or forest green. Clean weekly with a wet sponge or cloth for best performance.

What are acoustic panels?

Acoustic panels are designed to dampen sounds, reducing reverberation and echo in offices, schools, theaters, and homes. They absorb sound, improve intelligibility, and minimize disturbance.

Is whiteboard marker washable from clothing?

No, whiteboard markers are generally not washable from clothing. If ink stains your clothing, act quickly by dabbing the stain with a damp cloth and mild soap.

Some stains may remain. For stubborn marks, professional cleaning products or a dry cleaner may be required.

How to clean a whiteboard?

Chameleon whiteboards are crafted from ceramic steel, resulting in a glass-hard and smooth surface. This ensures that ink from a whiteboard marker does not adhere, making cleaning easy.

To maintain your board, wipe with a microfiber cloth to remove all ink. If ink has been left for an extended period, use the eraser spray included in our starter kit, or a damp microfiber cloth.

Quality markers matter—low-cost markers may be harder to erase. We recommend reputable brands. Browse our accessory assortment for premium markers.
